Holidays

Christmas has come and gone and now it’s already New Year’s Eve (well tomorrow)! I can’t get over how fast this year has gone, and now a new one is here. Christmas eve eve I made my cheesy potatoes(Ill post the recipes soon) and Oreo cupcakes for work and was up until about 1:30 am and then had to be to work at 7:45 am till noon. I had 10 customers from 8 am till noon! Talk about a snore fest, but lucky for me, I had a white board to keep me busy most of the morning.
Not the best, but it will do.
So I made the New Year’s white board for work. After work I went home and finished wrapping gifts and took a little nap. I put the cheesy potatoes in the oven and then my family and I went to church for the Christmas Eve service that they have every year. That night after church we had cheesy potatoes and Italian beef (a tradition we have done for as long as I can remember) then my aunt and uncle come over and we opened gifts and watched FireProof. If you haven’t seen that movie I highly recommend seeing it. It is such a great movie with an awesome message.
Christmas day is normally at my other aunt and uncle’s house, but they all got sick on Christmas Eve so it was at my grandparents’ house. So our house was filled with family, lots of food, and great company. We had Christmas with his family and opened gifts with them later that night for dinner.
We went to see The Wolf of Wall Street at the movies…it was OK I guess..There weren't any movies that we really wanted to see.
Work as usual on Thursday and Friday so not much fun there. Friday night after work we went to Janesville, WI for the Holiday Light Show. I LOVED it! It was a little cold, but so worth it. The car ride was about 45 min each way, but we were in the hurry. We got some hot cocoa, walked around and looked at all lights. They were so pretty and we can’t wait to go back next year.

Saturday & Sunday I was so lazy! I stayed in bed all day Saturday (except when I had to go get cat litter) and watched Desperate Housewives, and finished the last season on Sunday.  So today it was back to work, and tomorrow I get off at 4. I doubt we will do anything for New Year’s Eve, but nothing is set in stone yet. Hope everyone had a great Christmas, and have a safe and happy New Years!
