DIY Cat Box Holder

So we have been looking for something to hid the cat box in for a while and everything online was kind of expensive so I searched online and Pinterest for some ideas on a DIY project to hid that ugly cat box.

My Friend and I took a trip to IKEA a few weeks ago and I purchased a white dresser, so we decided to use that to hid the litter box and we will buy something else for our room later. So here is our DIY cat box hider.

My uncle actually did this project for us, He put the dresser together and I showed him where I wanted the cats to be able to get inside at. He added a piece of wood to the bottom drawer for added support and the cut the holes in the drawer and the side of the dresser.

This project couldn’t of been any simpler and I LOVE the end results. So now the litter box is no longer in our closet and it is hidden in a fully functional dresser.

Home Sweet Home

Happy Saturday!!

So I am finally posting pictures of the house, we are still working on it and we don’t have any pictures on the walls yet. So here are some pictures of the house so far! Sorry it’s kind of messy!! We are planning to add shelves into the room with the washer and dryer, really turning it into a mudroom as the back door it right next to the dryer.

Happy New Year!

It is so hard to believe that another year has come and gone!

2014 was an interesting year for us, a lot of change happened with this year, some good and some bad. So here is a little recap of what 2014 was like for us.

In February I started a new job that I LOVE! It was very bittersweet leaving my old job, especially because that meant that I wouldn’t get to see some amazing people everyday anymore. With starting the new job I have made some awesome friends. There is never a dull day at the office!

In August we started to look for our first house, we had a great realtor who worked with us, and was never pushy about us buying a house. We got lucky and found a house that we both fell in love with, but we ended up withdrawing our offer because of the amount of work that needed to be done right away. One week later however we found the house that we now call home. Our house is a little two-bedroom ranch. The minute I walked into the house I knew it would be ours. So on October 15th we closed on our first home.

The first week of October I took a plane for the first time to New Orleans with my best friend for a much needed girls weekend. It was so much fun, and I can't wait to go back!

We celebrated our 2nd anniversary in the comfort of our new home on October 27th. With lack of furniture, we sat in our lawn chairs in the living room and watched a movie together. Our furniture wasn’t delivered until mid November!!

In November Jesse was offered a better job, so he left his old job and started a new adventure with a company that was closer to home. He now even has a second job so we can pay off some debt faster. I can’t even begin to stress how much I love my husband for doing what needs to be done to support us.

We expanded our little family by one in November with a little 7-week-old kitten named willow. She is the sweetest kitten ever! She still likes to sleep with us, right next to our heads.

In December we added another new addition to the Brewer clan, we brought home a 9-week-old red heeler puppy named Lennox. He is so cute!! He is stressful and tons of work, but I am so happy we finally have a dog.

So this year has had tons of up’s and down’s, and I am so Thankful to have made it another year with my wonderful husband. I cant wait to see what 2015 brings for us! Hopefully the next addition to our family will be a baby!! Fingers crossed.

Happy New Year from Our Family to Yours!
